ETIBAR PIRVERDIYEV: DEBT OF BARMEK COMPANY FOR UNFULFILLED COMMITMENTS IS 160 BILLION MANATS

The Barmek Azerbaijan company does not fulfill its obligations on some clauses of the agreement, signed with the government of Azerbaijan for delivery in asset management of the energy distribution networks of Baku and Sumgayit, the Open Joint Stock Company (OJSC) Azerenerji head, Etibar Pirverdiyev told journalists on 26 July, Trend reports.

According to him, particularly, for the moment of the agreement concluding, the volume of technical losses of the Baku energy distribution network was some 14,5%, and under the terms and conditions of the contract, they are to reduce annually by 1 %. В"The level of technical losses achieve sometimes 30%В", - Pirverdiyev said.

According to the head of the OJSC, there are also problems in the level of payment by Barmek for the electrical power, received from Azerenerji. In particular, only 14 billion manats have been received from Barmek, while they were to transfer 48 billion manats.

Totally, the debt of the Barmek Azerbaijan company for unfulfilled commitments is, by Pirverdiyev’s estimates about 160 billion manats.

The similar problems has the Azerbaijani company Bayva, which manages the electrical distribution networks in western and southern regions of Azerbaijan. В"Anyhow, they transferred 100% of means for the electrical power received, and the high level of technical losses is accounted for the imperfect infrastructure of the country’s regions”, Pirverdiyev noted.

The relevant needed documents on companies operating in Azerbaijan are currently under consideration at the government of Azerbaijan.
