Elmar Mammadyarov, the Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs, will pay a business visit to Washington at the invitation of Condoleezza Rice, the U.S. State Secretary, from 1 to 5 August, Tahir Tagizada, the head of the Information Division of the Ministry, told Trend.
According to Tagizada, during the visit the Azerbaijani Minister will hold meetings in the White House, Pentagon, analytical and non-governmental organizations.
The meetings will focus on issues of bilateral political and economic cooperation, and further interaction in the international organizations. The settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be on focus.
