The White House does not have any plans on exportation of democracy’ to different regions of the world, Adam Ereli, the U.S. State Department representative, stated in an interview to the Turkish channel NTV, Trend
reports.

“If there are democratic changes in any country, we only welcome the decisions of the people of that country,” Ereli said. Washington can state about necessity of democratic reforms in Saudi Arabia, but nobody can force Riyadh to do something.

Touching upon the U.S. policy on the Caucasus region and Central Asia, the State Department representative noted that it envisages support to anti-governmental demands for development of democratic institutes through replenishing the demands’.

According to Ereli, the replenishment’ implies intensifying the non-governmental organizations through teaching the necessary methods.

“The key objective of the U.S. administration’s policy is to make the energy resources available for the western markets through the support of the democratic societies. The achievement of the goals in a non-violent way is an urgent task of the White House,” Ereli added.
