The Ana Vatan (Motherland) party has 30 candidates for participating in the upcoming parliamentary elections, the party’s chairman Fazail Agamali told news conference on 1 August at the International press centre, Trend reports.
He noted, among these 30 candidates, there are individuals, who will take part in the voting, both on behalf of the party, and independently. Agamali also noted, Ana Vatan had not joined any blocks for the elections and would use all party’s potentials.
It should be noted, at the forthcoming elections the Ana Vatan party remains loyal to the political heritage of Heydar Aliyev and would support the policy of President Ilham Aliyev.
Agamali also noted, in case candidates of Ana Vatan and New Azerbaijan parties will overlap in the constituencies, they will not be each other’s rivals. “Our opponents are candidates from the opposition, and we seek to win them”, Agamali noted.
