Consumer market

In June 2005 the consumer market dropped amid inconsiderable rise in commercial services.

According to the State Statistics Committee In this period the amount of retail goods turnover comprised 11.3trln manats, or 12.2% up as compared to last year. The commercial services delivered to population comprised 2.2bn manats, or 17.1% up as compared to last year.

Prices

Inflation ratio fell in June and reached 13.1%, or 0.3% down as compared to May.

All major groups of goods played the key role in cut of inflation ratio. Prices of foodstuff dropped 0.5% and made up 16.2%.

Thus, in June the foodstuff and service prices grew 3% and 16.2 and comprised %2% and 16.2%.

Wholesale prices in industry fell 1.5% in June and comprised 20.8%. Prices in oil and gas production rose 29.6%. Wholesale prices in oil and gas production grew 2.5%, while in energy sector it retained the level of last June.
