A diplomatic mission of the Italian Ambassador to Azerbaijan is completing on 20 August, the Italian Embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend.
The Ambassador will hold a number of farewell meetings with the officials of Azerbaijan the next week. Margerita Costa has worked for four years in Azerbaijan, the subsequent appointment of the diplomat will be determined by the Italian Foreign Ministry’s decision.
The next candidature of the Ambassador of Italy to Azerbaijan is also known. It is Djan Luidgi Masha. The Azerbaijani side has already approved the nominee. Azerbaijan will be the first country for him to work as Ambassador. Prior to appointment to Azerbaijan he was the official representative of Italy at the international organizations in Vienna.
