The activists of the �Azadlig’ elections bloc, arrested during the unsanctioned rally in the Goychay region on August 6, were released, Samid Mammadov, the chairman of the Goychay branch of the Popular Front of Azerbaijan Party (reformers), told Trend.
He noted that 15 people were detained during the action. All detainees were released after verbal warning.
According to Mammadov, the Shahir Ersoy, the contributor of the �Azadlig’ (Liberty) daily, detached to Goychay, was beaten by policemen. Some participants of the rally were slightly injured.
