GEORGIAN EMBASSY IN AZERBAIJAN PASSES APPEAL OF MISSED MULLAH’S FELLOW-VILLAGERS TO GEORGIAN MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS

The Georgian embassy in Azerbaijan passed an appeal of missed Sadraddin Palangov’s fellow-villagers and relatives [from Sadakhli village, Marneuli region, Georgia], held the protest action in front of the embassy on 9 August, to the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Trend reports.

20 citizens of Georgia arrived to Azerbaijan to protest against inactivity of the Georgian bodies, particularly, law-enforcement bodies in revelation of the kidnapping and possible killing of the resident of Sadakhli village.

The appeal of the participants of the protest action was received by Alexander Akhlediani, the deputy Ambassador of Georgia to Azerbaijan, who passed it to the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the embassy said.

The same time Elkhan Polukhov, the press-secretary of the Azerbaijani embassy in Georgia, noted that the fellow-villagers of the Palangov did not intend to hold any actions in front of the Azerbaijani embassy in Tbilisi.

“Ambassador Ramiz Hassanov keeps the issue in the focus of attention and charged the employees of the embassy in contacting with the members of the Georgian investigating groups,” Polukhov said. The residents of Sadakhli stated that they will hold a protest action in front of the Georgian embassy in Baku till revelation of the kidnapping.
