President Ilham Alliyev received on 10 August the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Azerbaijan Margerita Costa in connection with the accomplishment of her diplomatic mission in the country, Trend reports.
The head of the state appreciated highly the activities of Margerita Costa as the Italian Ambassador in Azerbaijan, having pointed out at the successful cooperation between the two countries.
Ilham Aliyv voiced confidence despite completion of her diplomatic mission Costa will visit Azerbaijan in future.
The head of the state reminded, on 19 July of the current year he signed a Decree on awarding Margerita Costa the Order of “Glory”, having personally handed in the award to the Italian diplomat.
Costa, in her turn, thanked the President for a high reward, having underlined, it is a big honour for her to be awarded the Order of “Glory” of the Azerbaijan Republic.
