Many local media including the “Eni Musavat” (New Musavat) newspaper publish various reports on the death of the Monitor magazine editor-in-chief Elmar Huseynov without backing up by any actual facts, the Ministry of the National Security (MNS) told Trend.
The Ministry’s report notes, despite the repeated informing the public of the progress of the investigative actions and operative and search works, some local media publish material aimed at deluding the citizens.
В"In their last issues the “New Musavat” newspaper maintained on assassination of persons suspected of the Elmar Huseynov’s death, actual facts and orderers of the crime, the MNS report says. It was noted, in reply to the MNS inquiry, the editor-in-chief of the “Eni Musavat” party Rauf Arifoglu confirmed, he is the author of a series of articles on the subject. In this regard Arifoglu was taken to the investigation as a witness.
However, during the inquest he stated the facts he cited in his articles had been received by him by the telephone from the anonymous source. He also noted, he does not dispose of the concrete facts on involvement of persons he mentioned in his articles in the murder of Elmar Huseynov. В"All these prove, the main objective of Arifoglu is to delude the public opinion and get political dividends from the death of Elmar Huseynov”, the report of MNS stresses.
