AZERI, ARMENIAN FMs TO DISCUSS NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT ON MOSCOW

(ITAR-TASS) вЂ" The Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia will discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in Moscow. Azerbaijani FM Elmar Mammadyarov said that first he will hold an informal meeting with his Armenian counterpart Vardan Oskanian.

The official meeting is scheduled for Wednesday. "It is necessary to work hard, he noted. There is an opportunity for achievement of a common ground on the issue,” he said.

As to the role of OSCE in Azerbaijan Mammadyarov said that he could be satisfied with the talks, as the conflict still continues. "However, the negotiation process has become intensive and it is necessary to go on in this direction," he underlined.

The Foreign Ministers of the two countries took part in a meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers in Moscow.

"In difference to previous years the meeting was more active and more interesting,” Mammadyarov underscored. Azerbaijan abstained from signing some documents.

"We cannot accept documents which contain national character, it concerns the sovereignty of the country," he added. Speaking on the future of CIS Mammadyarov underlined that that "CIS is alive rather dead."
