“I believe the cooperation between Azerbaijan and UNESCO will hence develop in rapid rates,” Mehriban Aliyeva, the First Lady, also the President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Good-Will Ambassador, said in meeting with Konchiro Matsuura, the General Director of UNESCO, on Wednesday.
Aliyeva elaborated in the activities of the Fund that she heads. Heydar Aliyev Foundation implements some social programs, directed at the improvement of the living condition of children deprived of parents’ care, as well as those suffering from different diseases. She mentioned the programs on increase of care and attention by the government to children diseased with talassemia and diabetics.
Matsuura voiced his satisfaction with his visit to Azerbaijan and expressed his confidence with the further intensification of the cooperation with UNESCO.
Later the guest got familiar with the stands of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
