Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev left for Kazan on Friday to attend CIS Summit,” Trend reports.
Major events under the Summit and celebrations of 1000th anniversary of Kazan will be held on Friday. During the visit Aliyev plans to hold meetings with his counterparts from CIS. Saturday he is scheduled to sit for talks with Armenian President Robert Kocharian on the peaceable resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He is also scheduled to meet the Presidents of Russia and Ukraine.
The President is expected to be back on 27 August.
