“We tour Baku with passports of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, for which we are grateful to the friendly nation,” Shinasi Basharan, the General Director of Akdaniz television channel, said at Heydar Aliyev international airport on Monday.
“We are very grateful to Baku for the recognition of Cypriot-Turks,” Basharn noted. Under the 3-day unofficial visit it is planned to hold talks on strengthening of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Northern Cyprus.
The delegation of entrepreneurs and journalists is headed by Rauf Denktash, the ex-President and founder of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and Serdar Denktash, the Foreign Minister.
An Azerbaijani-Cypriot business-forum with the participation of entrepreneurs from the two countries will start in Baku on Tuesday.
