Representatives of the Venice Commission (VC) of the Council of Europe (CE) will hold trainings for representatives of the Central Election Committee (CEC) and members of the country’s CECs in Baku, the CE Secretary General special envoy in Baku Mats Lindberg told the news conference on implementation of the pre-election “CE Action Plan” in Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
The diplomat noted, the “VC experts will present a comprehensive report on the actions of the election committees members in case of revealing any violations on the day of voting and in the after-election period, Lindberg noted. Two-day trainings will be held under the motto “ To trainings by trainings”.
Lindberg also reported, that during 2-3 weeks a group of VC officials will arrive in Baku to be engaged by CEC of Azerbaijan.
The Secretary General special envoy reminded in conclusion, the final VC decision on parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan will be made public in late September.
