The Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan will come out with the initiative at UNO on lifting the international isolation from the Turkish community of the Northern Cyprus. The decision was taken during a visit of the delegation of the Turkish Republic of the Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to Baku.

The statement was voiced by the TRNC Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soer, commenting on the results of the TRNC delegation’s visit to Baku, Trend reports citing the media of TRNC. В"It is a very important move and we accepted the news with great satisfaction”, Soer stressed, noting, the talks in Azerbaijan were of “economic character”.

В"The visit was “purely economic” and any statements of the political focus of meetings in Baku are erroneous and inappropriate”, the chairman of the government stressed.

According to Soer, a direct air flight from TRNC to Azerbaijan serves to getting out of the Turkish community from economic, social and cultural isolation.

В"It is necessary to distinguish clearly the notions a direct air flight and visit”, the Premier Minister said, noting that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a special invitation addressed to the former President and the founder of the TRNC Rauf Denktash, “which was accepted with gratitude”.
В"A visit of Denktash to Baku was private”, Soer underlined, noting all possible is to be done for the direct flight performed by the Cyprus Turkish Airlines (KTHY) to become regular.
