A stone-laying ceremony of the module electrical power station took place on 8 September in Astara with the participation of the Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev. Speaking at the event in front of the regions’ public the head of the state reported, the electrical power station will consist of 10 modules with the capacity per 8,7 МVt, Trend reports. It will be the first electrical power station from 52 ones of such type to be commissioned in the country’s regions and its construction will be finished by the year-end.
During his speech touching upon the issue of the country’s economic development the head of the state said, that investments are growing from year to year. According to him, the budget’s revenue part this year is $2,5 billion, in 2006 it will be $3,5 billion, but it may be even more.
The head of the state took also part in the opening of the gas and compressor station in the first half of the day and attended a new tinned food processing plant.
