MARCH DELAYED FOR NEARLY 30 MINUTES BECAUSE OF ALI KERIMLI

Due to the lateness of the chairman of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA), (reformists), Ali Kerimli, the march scheduled on 10 September for 17.00 p.m. in Baku started for 35 minutes later.

The march from the “20 January” Metro station up to “Galaba” square commenced only at 17.40 p.m., Trend reports.

The Youth Union “Eni Fikir” (“New Idea”) seeing that the organizer of the today’s action, the PFPA leader Ali Kerimli is late, separated from the column (conditionally divided into 3 parts: from PFPA, from Musavat, from the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan (DPA) and started to march independently.

The rest marchers, dressed in orange T-shirts and holding mostly orange flags waited for Kerimli and started moving after his arrival. The action chanted in Azerbaijani and English the slogans “ Resignation”, “Free Elections” and etc.

It is interesting to note, that the uniform of the participants from the Musavat “ party differed somehow from others by the caps on the heads.
