DYNAMICS OF CHANGES IN SOME ECONOMIC SEGMENTS

Oil market

Oil process dropped early last week amid the improvement of the situation in the oil production and refining sectors of the United States in the Mexico Gulf. After the Katrina hurricane which his the U.S. zone of the Mexico gulf and coastal area of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama on 29 August, the oil and oil refining companies gradually rehabilitated the violated operations.

During the trading sessions on 30 August the October futures on Light Sweet at NYMEX grew to $70.85, which became a new historic maximum for oil prices. New historic maximum was set up 31 August for exchange prices of petrol вЂ" $2,9200 per galloon.

After a week on 7 September the October futures on Light Sweet closed at $64.37, while October futures on petrol were fixed at $2,0222.

Currency market

Last week rates of Azerbaijani manat grew 12 points in regard to US dollar and made up 4587 manats.

Euro rates started the week at 5798.81 manats per euro, and completed at 5696.82 manats. Thus, it dropped 109.99 points. The difference between the maximal and minimal indices was the same.

Last week official rate of AZM in regard to USD dropped every day at BBVB, while maximal difference between the rates made up 20.72 points.

Aggravate amount of trading sessions (BEST) at BICEX comprised US $26,643m last week. Average daily deals constituted US $6.66075m. Maximal rates were fixed on 6 September, comprising US $21.437m. Strong fluctuations were not peculiar to last week dynamic of trading sessions.

Privatization shares market

The prices of privatization shares remained unchanged.
