Eldar Mahmudov, the Azerbaijani National Safety Minister, publicized some details on the case of Haji Mammadov, the former officer of the Central Criminal Investigation Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who was arrested for numerous heinous crimes. According to Mahmudov, the case is investigated on 64 episodes, Trend reports.
The Minister said that the investigation would last approximately from 2 to 3 months. “You know that initial investigation of the case revealed many crimes.
There are many people interrogating as suspects and witnesses. The more evidences appear the more people are involved in the investigation and interrogated. It takes time. We will try to complete the investigation in 2-3 months,” he added.
The Minister noted that the investigation-operative measures continue and investigation will be conducted if new facts are revealed.
