COMMISSION ON TAKING MEASURES FOR DEVELOPMENT OF ISSUES FOR TRANSPORTATION OF KAZAKHSTAN OIL SET UP

For consistent ensuring the interests of Azerbaijan in development of issues of transportation of Kazakhstan oil through the Azerbaijan’s territory, detailed study of economic, legal, ecologica, technical and other aspects, as well as taking other measures, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on 14 September 2005 for setting up a special commission.

Deputy Premier Minister Abid Sharifov was appointed the chairman of the commission, his deputy is the President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Natig Aliyev, Trend reports. Development Mikail Djabbarov, deputy Justice Minister Togrul Musayev, deputy Transport Minister Musa Panahov, deputy Finance Minister Azer Bayramov, deputy Tax Ministry Natig Amirov, deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Firdousi Aliyev, the first deputy chairman of the State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev, the first deputy head of the Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company Rafael Rahmanov and the head of the Foreign Investments Department of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Valeh Aleskerov were appointed members of the Commission.

The commission is entrusted to take relevant measures in regard to the development of the issue on transportation of the Kazakhstan oil through the Azerbaijan’s territory and after development of the drafts of relevant agreements to submit them to the President for consideration.
