A delegation of the Central Election Committee (CEC) being on a visit in Germany holds meetings at the Federal Government, Federal Election Election Committee, Bundestag (Parliament), CEC told Trend.
Elections in Bundestag will be held on 18 September. 3 representatives of CEC of Azerbaijan will observe these elections. To this end the CEC chairman Mazahir Panahov, a CEC member Yusif Bagirzade and the head of the CEC international relations department Rovzat Gasimov are in Germany on a visit since 14 September 2005.
Till 18 September the Azerbaijani delegation will visit constituencies of Germany’s various federal lands, meet with heads of these commissions. Meetings at the Federal Election Commission of Germany are also scheduled.
Along with the mission of observation for the activities of the electoral institutions the meetings held are aimed at familiarization with the election experience of Germany, mutual exchange of experience.
On 19 September evening the delegation will come back to Azerbaijan. The next sitting of CEC is scheduled for 21 September.
