ONLY 230 OF 884 CANDIDATES TO JUDGES TURN OUT SUCCESSFUL IN EXAMS

A test exam for selection of candidates to the vacancy of judges was held at the Gulustan palace of Baku on last Sunday at the appeal of the State Commission on Students Admission.

The Election Committee held an admission of candidates to judges from 15 February to 30 June 2005 and registered 1048 applicants. 164 of them did not participants in the exams on different reasons.

The Elections Committee compiled special bank comprised of 1000 questions covering the juridical sphere. After the packets unsealed the Election Committee input the question to computer in presence of observers.

The exam lasted 4 hours without break. Maleyka Abbaszade, the chairman of the State Committee on Students Admission said that every right answer was estimated in 1 point. The hopefuls with 60 and more points will be allowed to the next phase. The wrong answers will not affect on the total point, she added.

The answers were input to computers through optic reading device immediately after the completion of the exam.

The results were publicized in the end of the exam. Only 230 of 884 candidates gave right answers and qualified for the next stage.
