The Vetendach Birliyi (В"Civil Solidarity”) Party will not support the former President Ayaz Mutalibov, once the leader of this party in parliamentary elections, the party’s chairman Sabir Hadjiyev told Trend.

He said, two years passed since Mutallibov left the ranks of this party and passed to the Social Democratic Party of Azerbaijan (SDPA), and since that time the party has no connections with him. В"After creating the Civil Solidarity Party Mutallibov joined us and then left the party. We have no contacts with him, and we will not support him at the elections”, Hadjiev said.

Hadjiyev, voicing his attitude to the cancellation of the immunity right, granted to the candidate to deputies Mutallibov said, the Prosecutor General has such a right. According to Hadjiyev, similar situations occur in the world practice.

He reported the individual may be relieved of the criminal responsibility only by the pardoning decree or the amnesty and the candidacy status does not relieve him of the responsibility. В"In case an individual being in emigration will be elected deputy he has a new status and the deputy immunity may be lifted only by the Parliament.

But before elected deputy this candidate may be arrested only by the court decision or after the entering the decision into force. In this case, the candidate may take part in the elections”, Hadjiyev said.
