The Popular Front of Azerbaijan Party (PFAP-classics) addressed to Mazahir Panahov, the chairman of the Central Election Committee (CEC), Rino Harnish, the U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mauricio Pavesi, the head of the OSCE Baku Office, Mats Lindberg, the head of the CE Baku Office, as well as Azerbaijani democratic forces, in regard to the subordination system existing in military units and prisons, Trend
reports.

“The subordination system existing in military units and prisons increases possibility of falsification of the elections. Absence of control over the voting allows some people to change results in favor of wishful candidate. It must worry every candidate balloting in the constituencies, where such places exist,” the appeal says.

The PFAP underlined that absence of control of opposition and international organizations in military units and prisons can establish conditions for artificial increase of number of electors.

The PFAP (classics) said that the opposition and international organizations were due to take appropriate steps to ensure transparency in military units and prisons during the elections.
