“Azadlig’ (Freedom) bloc will hold a rally planned near 28 May underground station on 25 September at front of Jafar Jabbarli’s monument,” Sardar Jalaloglu, the first deputy chairman of the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan (DPA), told Trend.
According to Jalaloglu, the meeting of the Azadlig’ bloc leaders on Wednesday discussed issues of pre-election situation, holding of exit-poll on the voting day, preparation for the rally on 25 September.
Jalaloglu noted that Baku Executive Power did not reply to the proposals of the bloc on 5 addresses, where they planned to stage next actions. The representatives of the Executive Power refused from communication with the constitutors of the Azadlig’ bloc. Authorities stressed that they would be able to meet with representatives of the OSCE holding negotiations on determination of place for the rally scheduled for 25 September only after 29 September.
According to Jalaloglu, if authorities do not sanction the rally in the proposed squares, they will hold it at front of Jabbarli’s monument from 16.00pm to 18.00pm. He also noted that refusal of authorities from sanctioning the action in the central squares due to traffic was baseless. Large countries allot central streets and squares for mass actions.
Jalaloglu underlined that if authorities proposed to stage the rally in Galaba square, it would not be even discussed.
The Azadlig’ leaders expressed concerns about holding of exit-poll by different foreign organizations on the voting day, as their financial sources and other peculiarities were unknown.
