The court trial over Nadir Magerramov, serving his life sentence in Gobustan prison took place at the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan under the chairmanship of the judge Seygam Husseynov. Magerramov is charged with committing crimes in the early 1990s, being a member of the reconnaissance group “Garangush”, Trend reports.

He appealed to the Supreme Court with the request to revise the cases. Last month Magerramov joined the prisoners’ hunger action, after which his cassation was reviewed. However, at the court trial Magerramov could not receive positive results. The judge found the period for appealing overdue and took a decision not to consider the complaint. The lawyer of Magerramov Elman Osmanov found the court decision unjust and noted he would appeal to the European Court on Human Rights in the nearest 10 days.
