RULE ON RAISING OF HAJIAGA NURI’S CANDIDACY REMAINED IN FORCE BY SUPREME COURT

The rule made by the Court of Appeal on raising of then candidacy of Hajiaga Nuri, the chairman of the Islam Party, was remained in force by the meeting of the Supreme Court under the chairmanship of Ali Rustamov on 26 September, Trend reports.

Nuri appealed to the Court of Appeal in regard to raising his candidacy from Sabunchu 3rd constituency 28 by the CEC, but the rule was remained in force and he had to turn to the Supreme Court.

Nuri regards the rule of the Supreme as biased and states that he will appeal to the Constitutional Court and the European Court on Human Rights. “I’ll take this step after receiving of the rule from the Supreme Court. I don’t intend to step back,” he stressed.
