The preparatory meeting on suit against Arifa Mammadova, the resident of Absheron region, was held at the Absheron region court on Monday,” Aydin Nazarli, the lawyer of Mammadova, told Trend.
Arifa Mammadova is the sister of Haji Mammadov, the former high-ranking employee of the Criminal Investigation Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who was arrested for some heavy crimes.
Her husband Khosrov Javadov was sentenced to 4.6 years imprisonment for illegal weapon possession by the Absheron region court last month. The court imposed arrest on 1-room flat belonged to Mamadova.
According to Nazarli, the reason for imposition arrest on the flat, located in the Absheron region, is the suit filed by Etibar Mamadov, the citizen of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic. “The person appealed to the court by post and reported that Mammadova owed to him. The preparatory meeting was repeatedly delayed due to plaintiff’s default. In the end the plaintiff appear before the court and the preparatory meeting was held,” Nazarli stressed.
The lawyer also said that the legal meeting was scheduled for 6 October under the chairmanship of Chingiz Bashirov, the chairman of the Absheron region court.
