В"During my meetings with our fellow countrymen in Georgia we witnessed again their problems, difficulties, known to us.
I made sure again the problems raised in this respect are actual and they should be brought to the notice of the Azerbaijan’s public and there is the necessity to sound the alarm”, the chairman of the State Committee on Azerbaijanis residing abroad, Nazim Ibragimov told Trend.
It should be noted, a delegation of the Committee’s representatives, some structures’ leaders and the media is staying in Georgia since 26 September 2005. The main goal of the visit is getting familiar with the problems of the Azerbaijanis, living in this country, holding discussions with the state officials of Georgia on resolving the existing problems.
Ibragimov visited the regions with the Azerbaijani’ population, held innumerous meetings. The Committee’s chairman visited also on 26 September the areas of the Azerbaijanis’ compact residence in Dmanisi and Bolnisi provinces. On 27 September he will head to the Marneyli province, meet with the Azerbaijanis and get acquainted with the complaints and the state of affairs with the local residents. В"The State Committee conducted investigation before that, met with the fellow countrymen, residing in Georgia, familiarized with their problems. “After the meetings with them, seeing their problems we understood, how serious they are”, Ibragimov said.
The Committee’s chairman reported, the problems, our compatriots experience will be brought to the attention of the state bodies, the officials of Georgia.
According to Ibragimov, in the framework of the visit to Georgia the delegation will attend the grave of Mirza Fatali Ahundov, will take part in the opening ceremony of the Azerbaijani Theater building.
The State Committee’s chairman noted also, while visiting the regions with the Azerbaijani population all conditions are created for meetings with the fellow countrymen from the part of the government, the local executive bodies of Georgia.
