The authorities of Azerbaijan are not interested in continuation of the dialogue with the opposition, the head of the OSCE Baku office, the Ambassador Mauricio Pavesi stated on 29 September, commenting on the non-availability of the authorities at the meeting with the opposition initiated by OSCE, Trend reports.
В"The actions of the Azerbaijani authorities, who did not turn up at the dialogue with the opposition was a surprise to me, as in the morning the head of the socio-political department of the President’s Executive Office Ali Hasanov talking with me by telephone confirmed his participation at the meeting”, the diplomat said, noting, the scheduled meeting was supposed to be shaped as the constructive dialogue.
В"The concrete topics for discussion were elaborated. There was an opportunity for finding the compromise”, the OSCE office head said.
Along with this, Pavesi noted, he will carry on his assistance and do his utmost to go out of the situation.
Voicing his position on the actions’ routes, proposed by the opposition, the diplomat said, “minimum two routes are quite acceptable for holding rallies”.
