In January to August 2005 the communications enterprises provided population and economic subjects with services worth 62715.7bn manats, or 13.69% over the year-on-year indicator.
Significant rise was observed in regions: the telecommunications services in the economic zone Aran - 8.9%, Absheron - 19.4%, Guba Khachmaz вЂ" 9.8%, Shirvan вЂ" 11.3%, Shaki вЂ" Zakatala вЂ" 13.6%, Ganja-Gazakh вЂ" 13.3%, Nakhchivan - 21.1% and in Lankaran - 11.0%.
Touching upon the investments by different enterprises of the Ministry, the Ministry said that in this period Aztelekom invested 31,833.6bn manats in the development of the communications sector, Baki Telefon Rabitasi - 23,284.4m manats ($5,0828m), Teleradio вЂ" 1,765.4bn manats ($386,000) and Azerpocta вЂ" 3,297m manats ($709,000).
In January to August 2005 the Ministry of communications and Information Technologies put into exploitation 66,670 telephone numbers. 26,414 numbers of fell on Aztelekom Production Association and 40,256 numbers вЂ" on Baki Telefon Rabitasi PA.
Incomes from communications grew 43.3 times as compared to 2004 and comprised 900bn manats.
