The spokesman of the French Embassy to Azerbaijan Bayram Baltyi met on 4 October 2005 with the leadership of the Pro-Azerbaijani Forces election block, the coalition’s co-founder, the chairman of the Islamic Party of Azerbaijan Hadjiaga Nuri told Trend.
The goal of the meeting was familiarization of Baltyi with the alliance’s preparations to the elections and the candidates’ campaigning. В"We let him know of our problems, presented him the court decision on canceling my candidacy and other papers”, Nuri said.
The chairman of the National Rebirth Party, the block’s member Azer Gasimzade and the representative of the block in the Central Election Committee Akif Heydarov took part in the meeting.
Nuri also noted, he appealed to the European Court on Human Rights in regard to cancellation of his candidacy.
