At the Court on heavy crimes chaired by the judge Shakir Aleskerov the court procedure on deputy director of the Garabulag Recreation Centre Djabrail Ahundov finished on 5 October 2005. He is charged with the illegal keeping of ammunitions and narcotic substances.

By the court decision Djabrail Ahundov was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment, Trend reports.

During the search in the apartment of Ahundov, who was arrested in March 2005 by the National Security Ministry’s (MNS) officers, as a member of the Hadji Mammadov gang, narcotics and trotyl block were found. Despite Ahundov’s allegations the things found in the apartment do not belong to him, the fact was proved by the witnesses’ testimonies.

The lawyer of the charged Samed Hasanov does not agree with the decision and will appeal to the Court of Appeals shortly. В"During the court investigation Ahundov stated repeatedly these objects had been brought to his apartment by the MNS officers, who came to make a search. We find the court decision towards him as biased and unfair.
