TERRY DAVIS SENDS 2 PROPOSALS IN RELATION TO ELECTIONS TO AZERBAIJANI LEADERSHIP

“Today I do not only hope, but believe that free and transparent elections will be held in Azerbaijan,” Terry Davis, CE General Secretary, said to a news conference in Strasbourg on 5 October, Trend reports.

“Holding of democratic elections in Azerbaijan is possible and I hope that the elections will be free. I’m satisfied with the pre-election situation in Azerbaijan,” he added.

Davis stressed that he would send 2 proposals to the Azerbaijani leadership. The first concerns indication of address of voter. In his opinion, it will lighten determination of voters and prevent falsification, as well as solve problem of same initials. Davis added that transparent elections require names and addresses.

The latter is related to use of finger marking like Turkey. Nobody can pretend to be somebody in this case. Davis voiced hope that Azerbaijan would use the advices.
