Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev called on Turkish Premier Rejep Tayyub Erdogan, the President’s Executive Power told Trend .
The head of state congratulated the Premier with the commencement of discussions regarding Turkey’s entrance to European Union. Aliyev voiced his confidence that processes will serve to closer integration of the Turkish economy to the European and world economy.
The Azerbaijani President and the Turkish Prime Minister voiced his satisfaction with the successful development of relationships between the two countries, underlining that the joint cooperation in the implementation of the global energy projects would promote further improvement of the welfare of nations, consolidation of regional peace and stability. They had exchange of opinions on some issues of mutual interest.
