The 87th anniversary of the State Fire Safety Department under (SFSD) the Ministry of Internal Affairs was marked on Monday. Ramil Usubov, the Interior Minister, also participated in the ceremony, Trend reports.
In his remarks, Murad Husseynov, the chief of the SFSD, noted that despite all difficulties Fire Safety Service considerably developed over the last 10 years. Firemen were provided with all technical equipment.
Usubov congratulated firemen on their trade holiday and said that the newly commissioned Centre might serve as an example for Europe. “The Fire Safety Service including 9,000 personnel has great authority among the people,” the Minister added.
According to Usubov, 43 employees of the SFSD were conferred with breastplates, honorary titles and prizes. After official opening cultural workers came out with concert.
