The congress of democratic forces (CDF), established at the initiative of the “In the Name of Azerbaijan” election block is getting ready to its constituent conference, the head of the block’s headquarters Talex Aliyev told Trend.
He said concerning the exact date of the conference the talks are underway in this regard. В"The conference is likely to take place after the elections. It depends on the joint decision of the sides, comprising the congress. Negotiations with the sides are held at the level of the leader of the movement “In the name of Azerbaijan” Ilgar Gasimov.
Only oppositional political parties, non-governmental organizations, independent candidates and representatives of intelligentsia will comprise CDF.
The main goal of founding CDF is consolidation of the country’s democratic forces and the protection of the democratic environment before and after the elections.
