Rasul Guliyev, the chairman of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party (ADP), will arrive in Azerbaijan on 17 October, the National Committee on Protection of Guliyev’s Rights, told Trend .
The last meeting of the National Committee in large was held on Tuesday. The participants of the meeting discussed repatriation of the ADP leader and preparations for his meeting. Panah Husseyn, a member of the Committee, said that the repatriation of Guliyev was social require.
Rauf Arifoglu, a member of the Committee, stressed that the criminal case filed in regard to Guliyev was false. “In case illegal actions are committed in regard to Rasul Guliyev, the revolution takes place before the elections,” Arifoglu underlined.
Sardar Jalaloglu, the first deputy of the ADP, publicized the decision of the Committee concerning Guliyev. Rasul Guliyev will arrive in Azerbaijan by plane at 10.00pm [local time] on 17 October. The leader will be received by leaders of opposition parties, as well as thousands of his supporters at the airport.
In his telephone speech, Guliyev said that he would carry out the decision of the people, as he did not have other choice.
