“The United States will continue the delivery of radar devices and observation cameras to Baku,” Reno Harnish, the US Ambassador to Azerbaijan, stated to a two-day conference on �Non-proliferation of Mass Destruction Arms in the Caspian and Black Seas’, which opened in Baku on Wednesday.
He noted that over the past few years Azerbaijan had closely cooperated with the United States in the military sector. The diplomat noted that under the cooperation a military center in Baku, which enables to observe functioning of all �suspicious vessels’ in the Caspian irrespective of the place of location.
Harnish attached special importance to the necessity of informative exchange among the countries of the region, underlining that the joint measures in non-proliferation of the mass destruction arms will promote the maintenance of stability in the region.
Attending the two-day conference were the representatives from the border services and coastal guard services of Azerbaijan, Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine, Bulgaria and the United States.
