A number of foreign mass media applied to the independent press centre of the Central Election Committee (CEC) of Azerbaijan to watch the parliamentray elections, CEC told Trend.
Among the applied are the Turkish ТРТ channel, the Russian “Mir” TV and Radio company, the British Reuters Agency bureau in Tbilisi, Moscow and Baku and the “Azerros” newspaper published in Moscow. CEC reported, the appeal of the foreign media had been accepted positively. From the local daily newspapers nobody has appealed to CEC so far.
CEC has already ordered badges for those media representatives to observe the elections. The initial number of badges was 2,000 pieces. They may be re-ordered again depending on the number of observers.
