President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received on 13 October 2005 the mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Trend reports.
The sides exchanged views on the process of democratization in Azerbaijan, the forthcoming parliamentary elections and the cooperation of the country with PACE.
It should be noted, the mission headed by the Dutch parliamentarian Leod Plattveod comprises the CE parliamentarians Movlud Chavushoglu and Hanna Svenson, as well as two officials of the PACE Secretariat. Among the mission members are also the PACE co-rapporteurs Andreas Gross and Andres Herkel.
