AVERAGE WAGE TO INCREASE BY 33% IN FIRST HALF-YEAR OF 2006

“Average wage, including minimal one, will increase by 33% in the first half-year of 2006,” Avaz Alakbarov, the Finance Minister, said to a meeting of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) during discussion of the bill on public budget for 2006, Trend reports.

The Minsiter noted that expansion of the public budget and anti-inflation measures would not exceed 33%. “If the process continues at 8-9% inflation, then real money incomes of the budget organizations will reach significant amount. It the process do not change from 2007 to 2009, we will not face with problems,” he added.

A;akbarov also stressed that the process was highly appreciated by international experts.
