Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani President, issued a decree on additional measures on speeding-up social-economic development of regions, including Ali-Bayramli town, the regions Hajigabul, Kurdamir, Saatli, Sabirabad, Aghstafa, Gadabay, Gazakh, Shamkir and Tovuz.
The decree says that the state program on social-economic development of regions for 2004-208, approved by the 11 February 2004 decree, was being implemented succesfully, Trend reports. The decree also noted existence of some problems
demanding solution.
During the visit of the Azerbaijani President to the towns Sabirabad on 6 October 2005 and Gazakh on 11 October 2005 he held zonal meetings dedicated to the current situation and problems. Taking into consideration the results of the meetings, the President issued decree on approval of the action plan on speeding-up social-economic development of Ali-Bayramli town, as well as the regions Hajigabul, Kurdamir, Saatli, Sabirabad, Aghstafa, Gadabay, Gazakh, Shamkir and Tovuz.
The Cabinet of Ministers is charged with informing of the President about implementation of the action plan and solution of appropriate issues in this regard.
