Non-permission of observers to airports to be included in OSCE report

A fact on non-permission of the international observation mission of the OSCE/ Office for Democracy and Human Rights in Azerbaijan (ODIHR) to Heydar Aliyev international airport will be included in the third final report of the mission on the pre-election situation in Azerbaijan, Heide Smith, the head of the mission, told Trend.

According to Smith, the issues have been discussed with the leadership of the force bodies in Azerbaijan and undoubtedly, they will be more probably included in the last pre-election report of the mission, which would be publicized in the nearest two weeks.

The same time Smith noted that to date there are 15 observation groups in Azerbaijan. Every day the observers entering the group send information on pre-election situation in the country to the Central Bureau of the mission in Baku.

On Monday the OSCE/ODIHR observers, along with the representatives of several embassies, were not allowed to Heydar Aliyev International Airport where an airliner carrying the oppositionist leader Rasul Guliyev.
