Lankaran Executive Power gives instructions on elections

A meeting was held at the Lankaran Executive Power in relation to the meeting held by the Azerbaijani President concerning the parliamentary elections. During the event Zeynal Nagdaliyev, the head of the Executive Power, spoke about the measures taken in regard to the forthcoming parliamentary elections and informed the participants of the event about implementation of the Elections Code and 11 May 2005 presidential decree in the region, the Lankaran Executive Power told Trend.

Nagdaliyev underlined the President’s will to hold democratic and transparent elections. He also mentioned importance of the presidential decree on non-admission of interference in the lections, as well as elimination of problems. The head of the Executive Power said that it was important to strengthen work on distribution of cards, allow the people to participate in the elections on old passports, as well as develop and put in discussion of the CEC inking rules.

Local executive bodies are due to examine readiness of the buildings allocated for election committees, rooms allocated for electors, strengthen guarding, and provide uninterrupted telephone communication and energy supply.

Nagdaliyev gave some instructions and recommendations to executive bodies in the region.
