Results of deciphering of Russian helicopter’s black box’ to be announced

Results of deciphering of the black box’ of the Russian helicopter KA-32, which crashed in Goychay District in October, will be publicized early December,” Sabir Ilyasov, the deputy chairman of the AZAL state air company, told Trend.

According to Ilyasov, a commission from Moscow and Krasnodar was in Yevlakh. "Black box of the Russian helicopter will be sent to Russia for deciphering. Azerbaijan does not have equipment for deciphering of the box. We do not use helicopters KA-32, so we sent the black box to Russia,” he noted.

Ilyasov said that the reasons causing the incident will be clarified after the completion of the analysis. “The results of analysis will be ready in a week. We suppose the technical reasons to cause the incident,” he stressed.

The Russian helicopter, implementing Trabzon-Ganja-Turkmanbashi flight and afterwards Islamabad, made a refueling in the Azerbaijani airport Ganja. However, it crashed in Goychay District last Saturday evening while landing. As a result the helicopter burned and the 5-member crew, all were Russian citizens, died.
