Russia supports the course of the current Azerbaijan’s leadership, the Russia’s president assistant Sergey Prikhodko told the “Kommersant-power” weekly, Trend reports.
"We traditionally back the acting power within the CIS space and are not engaged in the undermining activities. Ilham Aliyev and his father have actually done much for development of the Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation. They facilitated to taking out our relations from the deadlock, in which they were in the first years after the collapse of the Soviet Union”, he said in a statement.
