“The Secretary General of the Social Intern, Lousa Ayala, will pay a visit to Azerbaijan by late 2005,” Araz Alizada, the co-chair of the Azerbaijan Social-Democratic Party (ASDP), told Trend.
Alizade said Ayala plans to meet with Azerbaijani President. “Along with other issues she is going to discuss the return of former Azerbaijani President Ayaz Mutallibov in the state level, also the co-chairman of the ASDP, who currently lives in emigration in Moscow,” he underlined.
Alizade said that Mutallibov will come to Azerbaijan only in case he receives a permission from the Azerbaijani government. Noting the high-level talks held in this direction, he did not exclude the victory of the ex-President in the elections.
The Social Intern, an international organization with its headquarters in London, unites socialist and socio-democratic parties from 158 countries.
