Special summit of ICO to be held in Mecca on 7 Dec

The special summit of the Islam Conference Organization (ICO) will be held in Mecca, Saudi Arabia from 7 to 8 December, the Azerbaijan Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Trend.

Presidents and Primers from 57 countries will discuss political, economic and culture problems, development of events in the Islam world, as well as design joint position during two days. The Arabian king Abdullah bin Abdulaziz will come out at the opening of the summit. The Azerbaijani President, Ilham ALiyev is also invited to the summit.

The ICO was established at the conference of Presidents and Primers from Moslem countries in Rabat, Morocco in 1969. The summit is once in three years. The political body of the ICO is the Foreign Ministers Conference, executive body - General Secretariat with the temporary headquarters in Jidda, Saudi Arabia (till liberation of Jerusalem).
